Homecoming is a time many students look forward to. The Seniors look forward to one of their final dances, and the Juniors and Sophomores look forward to another of many. Some of the most excited students are the Freshman. This is the first major dance for the younger students, and many of them are willing to share in the excitement. Sydney Brase and Jenna Danniger are two of the bubbling freshies, and they were bursting with joy about the upcoming event. “I’m looking forward to the freedom to go out to dinner with all of my friends before and just having more freedom than other dances,” Sydney shared.
One of the biggest parts of Homecoming for these girls was finding ‘the dress’. “My dress is strapless with a sweetheart neckline,” Jenna explained, “it’s got a black satin sash and ruffles at the bottom. It goes down to my knees, maybe even a little above. It’s cream, with black, navy, and pink zebra stripes. When I first looked at it, I was a little iffy on it; but I tried it on and absolutely fell in love with it.”
Both girls were very excited about their dresses, but they were also buzzing about their plans of before the dance. “We’re going to Napoli’s, with our group of twelve people,” Sydney said. Although neither of the girls have dates, they were not upset in the slightest. Both were very happy to say that they will be attending the event with their group of friends.
Whether it’s a students very last or very first Homecoming, the experience is all but guaranteed to be a fun one. Sydney and Jenna look forward to their Homecoming week, dance and all, along with many other fellow students.
