She puts on her shin guards and pulls her socks over them. Than, when everyone is ready, she heads over to the goal and lets the referee know that she’s good to go.


Ida Herreborg, senior, just started to play indoor soccer and from what she has played so far, she likes it a lot. “Yea (I do). It’s fun,” she said. “We have tons of fun,” she added.


There aren’t any differences when it comes to soccer between Denmark and the United States. “It’s the first time I have played. It’s hard, but it’s a lot of fun. There’s more action than normal soccer,” she explained. When things are different, it’s good to have a team that will help you out and that are good sports about it all.


“They’re (my team) are really nice and its nice that they’re all ages, like freshman and everyone,” she commented.


The referee blows the whistle for the play. The ball is kicked, and coming straight towards the goal. Another player from the other team kicks it up and right in the middle of the poles. Ida has her hands out ready to catch the ball. It goes directly into her arms. No goal for the other team.
