Spring break, the favorite part of the year for many students. A time for chilling with friends, or maybe taking a trip somewhere. The call of the warm beaches is a good contrast to the cold Iowa weather.

Brandon Hornback, sophomore, took a trip to Florida over spring break along with his friend, John Viner. They drove, and although it was a two-day drive, it was, “Worth it, definitely.” A lot of time was spent hanging out at the beach, and Brandon described it as the, “Best part of the trip.”

However, even though it was a lot of fun, it was not Brandon’s best spring break. “I spent half of it being sick from food poisoning.” Though sick, he still enjoyed the trip immensely, and it was a fun time for him.

Spring break is a time for a lot of fun and even the occasional sickness can’t slow down spring break. Going to Florida with a best friend is out of reach for many students here at Marion, but for Brandon, it was a fun reality.
