The Illuminati is a widely known conspiracy theory that became popularized in the last decade. Some people think this is just a rumor, however many believe the Illuminati is in fact real.

Sydney Brase, sophomore, and Jenna Floyd, senior, are both believers in the Illuminati. “The illuminati is a secret organization that runs the world”, Brase commented. Brase and Floyd learned of the Illuminati from Mr. Jonathan Dyrland and said, “Mr. Dyrland changed our lives.”

After learning about the Illuminati they began to see how it could be true, and how it applied to the world around them. “It’s everywhere. After you learn about it it is hard to stop picturing it”, Floyd explained. Brase also added, “There are triangles, eyes, and 666 everywhere.”

Learning about the Illuminati also affects their everyday lives. “You begin to look at things differently”, Brase stated. “Once you know about it you see it everywhere”, Floyd added.

Eventually the effects stop increasing and start leveling off. “It affected me more when I first learned about it. The more I learn about it, the more I see it”, Floyd said. Floyd and Brase believe it is important for people to learn, and know about the Illuminati. “It is important to know about it because a lot of celebrities are a part of it, but don’t really know what that consists of. For them, it is important to be knowledgeable about the subject because they are people that others look up to”, Floyd commented.

The Illuminati may or may not be real, and as Floyd said, “It is up to each individual person to decide whether they believe it is real or not.”
