Going all the way for the tournament and going for the gold, that is what the MHS Varsity bowling team is doing. Anna Luenig, senior is an exchange student from Germany and is excited for her and her teammates to go to the tournament.

“We have a really nice team and I’m glad we are going and get to show everyone that we can bowl,” Anna said in a cheerful notion. For any team going to the tournament it’s big deal because the tournament is the final stepping-stone to becoming the state champions. “It’s kind of exciting, I never thought we’d go to state,” Anna said. Being a foreign exchange student, the main goal is to experience what that country can offer which could be education, sports, friendships, or just simply to see how the way of life is but for Anna its sports. “I felt a bit excited [for bowling], because when you bowl you get really excited.” Anna said. “My best game was a 160 but I really hope to bowl a 200.”

Being a part of a team is a big thing. Anna understands that and is an example of living up to that.
