The beginning of December always brings cold weather, and usually snow, but this year the snow seems to be waiting a while. With above freezing temperatures during the day, the snow has just not appeared yet. While a large portion of students are of the opinion that snow could stay away forever, some cannot wait for the first snowfall to hit.
Sidney Larsen, senior, cannot wait for the snow to come. “It’s pretty and sparkly and makes me feel cozy… and [the first one] makes me feel like a child in a candy store!” With winter being her favorite season, it makes it all the snow and the fun it brings all the more special.
She has a variety of reasons that make her love the snow so much, one of which is sledding. “I love sledding and me and my friend Mitchell have winter fun day!” Winter fun day is a day they choose and to go sledding and do other winter type activities. Those type of things are all the more reason for her to the love the season as much as she does. The other thing she loves about this time of year is, “Christmas and New Years… and you can wear cute clothes because it’s cold outside!” With all these things being positive for her, it’s no wonder that she finds winter to be her favorite season!
With the snows surely coming soon, Sidney will find that her favorite part of the year will be soon be all hers to enjoy.
