Little kids all around

By: Storm Bogs [Web Editor]

Today, little kids from the Marion District are at the high school. While it’s not clear why they are here, it is obvious that they are. Depending on where the little kids are in the school and what classroom someone is in at that particular time, it can be very disruptive.

Mr. Ferguson, teacher here at Marion, doesn’t necessarily find the little kids to be disruptive. “When they come up for the auditorium everyone [in this class] notices them walking in the hall…but it’s not a disruption,” he explains. High school kids might see their younger brother and sister in the hall and want to go talk to them, but that does not concern Mr. Ferguson that much. “If we’re doing individual stuff than it’s alright if kids get up but if we’re in the middle of a class activity we can just close the door,” he explained. There are always a lot of activities going on in the Marion district, no matter what grade level it involves. “I think it’s good that there are a lot of activities going on,” Mr. Ferguson stated. While he wishes that the little kids had their own facility to do their activities in, he doesn’t see that happening any time soon, but it doesn’t bother him.

It’s not very often that the little kids are seen roaming the halls of the high school, but it happens every now and then. “That’s life, it happens,” he stated. The kids seem to be well behaved and not that much of a disruption to the high school students and staff.

So, next time the kids are at the high school, don’t worry about it and just continue to focus on school work.
