Every hour and a half the same loud, obnoxious, and irritating sound buzzes throughout the whole school.  Some students plug their ears, while other people just ignore it and not think about it.  It’s the school bell.

For some people, it doesn’t bother them, but for others it gives them a headache, makes their ears hurts, and even makes them not be able to concentrate for a while after.  Why are they so loud, and why do they have to carry on for 5 seconds?  It should only take a second. People can hear that it’s time to go, without the loudness of the bell and the insanity that it gives some students.

Most students know how to tell time, and if they don’t, or they don’t realize what time it is, just a simple little “ding” in the school would be totally fine.  Nothing big needs to be rummaging throughout.

Almost every day, the same bell rings at the same time to alert students when class is over.  Let’s make it a little quieter and not as long, and it may save our ears.
