Spirit week’s outrageous themes

By: Logan Tichy [Ads Editor]

It’s Spirit Week here at Marion. Some students are participating, but a large majority of the students have not been participating.Truth is many more of the students would be participating but they cannot find outfits that coordinate with the outrageous themes this week. Take for example; it’s hard to come up with outfits for tie-dye day when only a select few students have tie-dye shirts.

Along with the outrageous themes this year there is also a theme on school picture day. So all the classes are going to be wearing the same color for the yearbook. That’s going to look so cheesy!

While some of the themes are okay, like red and gold day, that doesn’t make up for the problems that are occurring with the crazy themes.

Next year there should be a vote to the themes that are going to be on homecoming week. There should be normal themes that almost everyone should be able to enjoy, and show their school spirit.

I agree with you completely Logan, and considering 90% of the school didn’t even where there class colors today….is it even worth it?

Students could have picked up picture packets from the office, but they were also available today during picture-taking. A student can still order and pay online.
