As most of us high schoolers know relationships and ending those relationships can be very uncomfortable. But what’s even more uncomfortable is when you accidently run into that person post-split.

Ironically, while in the relationship it is often hard to find time to spend with one another, but after the breakup it seems impossible to escape your ex. You run into each other in the hallway, like literally run into each other, like the universe is trying to make your life a living nightmare. Because let’s be honest, no one wants to see their ex after a rough breakup.

Although seeing an ex every once in a while seems like a nightmare, it could be worse. They could be placed into the same chemistry class as you. Or even worse, the same gym class. The worst part about having the same class as your ex is the possibility that the teacher will pair you up. Even though this could be the most embarrassing moment in your life, there’s no way to tell your teacher about the past without sounding like an immature middle schooler, and many teachers would still pair the couple up to “work out your differences”.

Just remember, if ever running into your ex, remain calm, making a scene will only make things worse. And if they do get placed into the same class, as much as it sucks, the other person will get through it, it may even make them a better person.
