He smiled when he walked into the gym the next day. Going to practice and getting prepared for their next game was his celebration. The day before, the Marion Indians conquered the Mount Pleasant Panthers 64-60. All the members of the boys basketball team contributed to that victory.
Kasey Semler loves basketball. He also loves beating the number one ranked Panthers. “Anytime you beat the #1 team in the state it’s an amazing feeling,” stated Kasey, “ It made us realize we can beat anybody.” As the boy’s team rolls past the formly undefeated Panthers, they focus on their regional game against Vinton.
Kasey believes that the Indians can bring home a state title. He explains, “We all feel confident and ready to go…now is when all of our hard work will hopefully pay off.” The whole team is stoked and will play with everything they have.
