Wacky Weather World

By: Kayla Comried [Staff Writer]

Wacky Weather World

When it rains it pours. This saying has proven true throughout April, but many are wondering if it will continue throughout May, but with a crazy twist, snow. Yes, snow has been falling in towns all around Iowa. Schools are having snow days and school is expected to be over in one month. With these weather patterns as unpredictable as they are now, it leaves many wondering when will not only the rain stop, but when will winter finally be over?

After awhile the winter gets extremely old. The four months when it consistently snows are bad enough, but when it continues throughout spring and creeps up on Marion’s summer it makes many mad. There are 235 days until Christmas, and some folks around Iowa are seeing their yards, roofs, and cars covered in snow, so the winter needs to stop and spring needs be skipped so everyone can have the summer they deserve.

Summer is so close, yet it feels like an eternity away. Summer activities have not yet occurred due to all the rain and snow. Even spring activities have not been as great. Meets, games, and even practices continue to get canceled and re-canceled day after day. Rain, just stop!

So with school drawing to an end winter needs to leave and the rain needs to come to a halt. Everyone wants that warm weather, so just try to make the best of the days while they are here, and maybe one day summer will be here.

It seems as if it has been raining non-stop this past month and now there is snow in the forecast!
