With the middle of February finally approaching, many people are wondering when summer will finally be here. It seems as though this last stretch to the end with only spring break to look forward to is the longest. Each day comes and goes with nothing really going on. The holiday season has already come and gone and now we are just left here in the last push, the last stretch, to the finish line: the last day of school.

With it only being mid February, it seems like we are only half way through the year. It seems like we just started and there is so much left to go, but in reality there isn’t that much. We are already past mid terms in third quarter, meaning we only have a quarter and a half left. This makes it seem so close and in our reach, but there is hardly anything to look forward to. Spring break is slowly approaching, but even that will come and go with the blink of an eye leaving us yet again with a long push to summer.

Even though we only have a quarter and a half left it feels as though from here on out is a whole year plus more. Each day slowly passes by, and the same things are carried out day after day. The same tedious homework is given over and over, and each day we unwillingly finish the worksheets and chapters assigned just hoping that it will eventually have an end.

So with the last three and a half months of school starting we all need to just try to get through it. We need to finish that last quarter and a half strong. We need to make these last months count, so that way when summer comes we are so relieved and so proud of the job that we have done. The end of the year is so close, yet so far away, so just take a deep breath, finish the paper, and know that summer is coming.
