Iowa has had a pretty uneventful winter so far, weather wise. Some people have been enjoying the warm weather for this time of year and some have been wishing for snow.

Marlie Neff, sophomore, has mixed feelings about the snow that is expected to be coming tonight and into to tomorrow.”I love snow to look at but I don’t really enjoy going out in snow because its really cold,” Marlie said. Snow can be pretty but driving out in it can be extremely dangerous, which is why rumors of a snow day have been going around. “I don’t think we’ll have a snow day tomorrow because Marion never does, and I live in Cedar Rapids so it’s pretty treacherous getting to Marion,” Marlie said. She thinks that the snow can just wait until Christmas. Although she’s not a huge fan of snow, she wants a white Christmas. “I want a white Christmas because I love to gaze out my window over my 12 foot tree and see the snow falling,” Marlie commented. Even though the news has been reporting 8-12 inches of snow for our area, Marlie predicts the storm won’t be too bad. “I don’t think we will get as much snow as they say because it has been pretty warm,” Marlie said. Still hoping for snow by Christmas though, Marlie plans on what she will do when the snow finally descends from the sky. “My favorite thing to do in the snow is go snowboarding with my dad,” Marlie said.

So as people anticipate the snow, Marlie just hopes it waits out until Christmas.
