Today has been like any other day this week, HOT HOT HOT, but there is one difference. It’s game day! Although it isn’t the Indian’s first game of the season there is still a lot of hype. It seems that Marion’s first home game is almost just as important as any other.
With the game just hours away it’s hard to miss the football players enthusiasm, but it’s also hard to miss the fact that the team they play tonight is ranked number one. Marion had a great start to their season beating Mount Pleasant 70-7 bumping them up to a number 4 ranking, but this game is bound to be a lot more challenging.
Endless amounts of teamwork, team dinners, hard practice, and film have prepared the Marion Indians for what’s to come. No one is 100% sure who will win, but every one of these football players would swear it’s their team that will take that W in the win column. The odds may be against them, but they will fight until the end.
The anticipation may kill the fans, but there is no telling who will win until that final second on the scoreboard runs out and the winning team takes the field. Come on down and support the Indians at their first home game of the 2012 football season. Seeing is believing, and the Indians believe that this game is theirs for the taking.
