She is on the bus rides with all her friends. They are talking about how it is their last meet for the season. They are very nervous for this meet and have high expectations on winning. Even though the season is ending she can’t wait for next year’s season.

Haillie Vanderlinden, sophomore, is on the JV tennis team at MHS. She has been playing on the team for two years now. “[I joined] because a lot of my friends play, and I like hanging out with them,” she states. To join tennis someone has to know the rules of the game. And the different drills they will have to do to be prepared for the season.

“[Things you need] are a tennis racket and tennis balls.,” states Vanderlinden. Even though she has only played for two years she has came to have a lot of different experiences in tennis. The thing that keeps her playing the most is the fact that she doesn’t want to lose the memories with her friends.

She sits at a table with all her friends at the end of the year team banquet. They sit and talk about all the memories they had this year and how they cant wait until next year. All of a sudden they hear a loud sound and they know the banquet begins.
