Is there a limit of how dressy someone can get for WPA? Some people like to get dressed up as if it were homecoming. Others just pull something out of their closet for a quick pick. Which one is more appropriate?
Maybe we can meet halfway. If you really want to, go for it, wear a dress. But if you were to wear one, make it casual. Don’t go overboard and buy a puffy, glittery homecoming dress that’s been on the store rack since October.
There is always that one person that under dresses. A complete opposite of everyone else. Most boys that go to dances have a date that can dress them to match their date. But that one guy that is brave enough to go alone with some friends, and wears some jeans and a Marion t-shirt needs to at least put on a button up shirt for the event.
Applause to the girls that not only dress their dates well, but also dress themselves appropriately. Its okay to wear something that you have worn before, that’s why we buy clothes, to wear them more than once. Or even if you have a skirt hidden in the back of your closet and have to go and get a top to match it. Girls pay for stuff at this dance, so you might as well save a few extra bucks.
Overall it is okay to look good for your date, but let’s tone it down and keep it simple. WPA should not be as dressy as homecoming, you might as well then call it homecoming for the winter sports. Its not necessary to do this more than once a year.
