During the holiday season it is nice to give back to the less fortunate. A lot of families don’t have enough money for presents for their children, or even enough money to put supper on the table for holiday dinner. This is not a good way of living. People should start being less selfish and stop worrying about what presents they will be receiving, its about giving back. Giving back is the best feeling in the world sometimes it even brings a little tear to your eye, and makes a person feel warm and fuzzy!
Ways to give back! There are so many ways to give back;
- Visit a local humane society and spend time playing with the animals! Or even become a volunteer for them. Also adopting a pet is a fabulous way to give back!:)
- Donate blankets and pillows to a shelter.
- Donate money to the salvation army! They are usually out in front of stores ringing a bell with a red kettle next to it.
- Give food to a food pantry.
- Donate blood.
- Give toys to Toys for Tots.
- Donate food or help cook a meal!
- Donate time at a retirement home.
- Volunteer at a local hospital.
- Recycle and go green.
- Buy someone in the Starbucks or other fast food place behind you there order:)
Just be a nice and caring person even giving someone a compliment or a sweet treat can make their holiday season!
