It’s Homecoming! The week that the school looks forward to every year. The time of the year that everyone gets to dress up and show their school spirit. This year there are many different themes during the week to choose from.
Ciera Rodriguez, senior, is a cheerleader at Marion High School. The cheerleaders are in charge of making up the themes for Homecoming week, but this year they did it a little different. “Well this year we ask the mentor groups and got ideas for them. Then we picked the ones with the most votes that were appropriate,” she explained.
The themes that were chosen were Pajama Day for Monday, Twin Day for Tuesday, Country Day for Wednesday, Rock star/ Costume Day for Thursday, and Red and Gold Day for Friday. Cowboy Day is already under way, so get ready for Rock Star/Costume day tomorrow!
Homecoming is liked by many different people and Ciera is no different. She likes the activities during the week like dressing up each day, the prep rally, and the dance. “[My favorite part is] probably the dance because I get to be with my friends and dress up for the night,” she expressed. Even though Ciera’s favorite part of the week is the dance, she likes all aspect of Homecoming. She loves to get the school ready and excited about Homecoming.
Homecoming week has started and Ciera can’t wait for the dance. She loves to see all the people dressing up and getting just as excited as she is, so get that school spirit on! Remember, Rock Star/Costume Day is tomorrow!
