She listened to the holiday carols sung by the choir. The cafeteria was decorated, snowflakes hung from the ceiling and the tables were covered with centerpieces. It’s December 16, 2009, the day of the Marion’s high school dinner.
Jordan Zimmerman, junior really enjoys the holiday dinner for a lot of reasons. Zimmerman explained, “I think it [the Holiday dinner] is a good idea.” She likes the idea of having the Holiday Dinner because it brings students and staff together. Zimmerman really likes the idea of using real plates and having school feel more like home.
The decorations include table clothes, placemats, centerpieces and hanging snowflakes. “I’m glad that the cooking staff takes the time to cook food for the students and decorate the cafeteria,” Zimmerman elaborated. The whole idea of the Holiday dinner makes Zimmerman all the more excited, “It gives people in school a great chance to catch up and listen to all the choirs music,” She explained.
All in all the Holiday Dinner is a really cool time to hangout with friends while enjoying a meal that was made with hard work and dedication. “It’s better than an average school lunch,” she added with a giggle. The holiday dinner is sure to be a big hit today for Marion students.
