Sarah Beebe, Sophomore, is a fairly new student at MHS-having transferred here at the beginning of her Sophomore year-but she is no newbie on the volleyball court.
Beebe has been playing volleyball competitively and recreationally for the past 5 years. “I played both school and club volleyball at Independence High School,” Beebe commented. Beebe played on Independence’s Volleyball Club and currently plays on Marion Magic’s 16u team. “I like playing middle front. My favorite part of playing is the excitement and intensity,” Beebe said. Beebe stays fit in the off season by playing sand volleyball. “I don’t know if this counts [as a way to stay fit], but I also do motocross at Prairie du Chen,” Beebe laughed.
Beebe’s advice to other student athletes’ is, “When you feel like you can’t do it anymore, keep pushing yourself – it’ll pay off.”
