This year the music department put on a talent show called Follies. Students all through out the school with music abilities are allowed to be in the show either singing their favorite song, playing an instrument, or even performing a dance routine.
Russell Clayton, senior, has been in the music department his whole high school career now. “Follies is a concert where students can show off their talents in a fun and modern way,” Clayton says. Clayton has tried to participate in every musical activity that the school offers to students. Music has became his life.
Russell sang three times during this years performance. He stated, “Im singing a solo, “Havent Met you Yet” by Michael Buble and two duets. One of them is with Madison Hinton, senior, “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri, and with Jacob Davila, junior, Little Things by One Direction.” Music isn’t just a fun pastime for him. It has inspired him and made him gain a lot of new friends.
“I enjoy Follies because I love singing, and singing with my friends doing modern songs. As the night comes faster and faster the more excited he gets for his final Follies.
