Hats, gloves, and scarves give us warmth during this time of the year. Clean and crisp air fills our lungs when we walk out in it. We can smell the smoke of the fireplaces. The skies are grey and gloomy, you can feel the dampness. You turn on the radio and hear the weather report that a big snow storm is on its way. Instantly a little light bulb clicks on and you think snow day!
Alice Dixon, senior, and Michael Moeller, junior, enjoy winter storms and snow days. “I love snow days as a senior because eventually we won’t have to make them up! And its a chance to be lazy and sleep in,” said Alice “I love being able to sleep in during snow days,” added Michael. Many students enjoy the day off from school. Snow days give students time to relax and take a break from the heavy workload of homework.
During winter storms sometimes thunder snow can take place. “I think thunder snow is really interesting in a good way,” said Michael. ‘I love the way it sounds! I love storms,” added Alice. The storm that is on its way is suppose to consist of heavy loads of snow and some thunder snow.
