It’ basketball season and the Marion Indian’s have jumped out to a hot start. Marion beat Dewitt there by three on the first game of the year. Then they defeated West Delaware at home. In a non-conference game against Kennedy the boys kept up for a while, but in the end they got they’re first loss of the season.
The Marion boys Basketball team is looking strong again with returning varsity members from last year include Kasey Semler, Dalton Combs, Hunter Sade, Mitch Osborn, Nick Cranny, and Corey Kramer. This team is hungry to get back to state and is willing to do what it takes plus more. Also expectations for Marion Basketball are, higher now that in the last three years boys and girls have made it to state.
The varsity girls are looking to go to state this year after having a disappointing loss to Dubuque Whallert in Sub-state. Two impact players from last year Morgan Paige and Brittany Fish are looking to finish they’re senior season strong. Morgan who will be attending Wisconsin next year and Brittany attending a smaller college in St. Louis have both had very successful careers and will get to continue them playing college ball.
Go support the basketball program and not just one or the other. Both girls and boys are fun to watch and will be having great seasons. Go Indians good luck!
