It’s almost here…the moment every MHS student has been eagerly waiting for: winter break! With all the recent snowfall and winter weather, the holiday season is really sinking in as the student body, and staff, are counting down the minutes until that final bell on Tuesday.
I believe it’s safe to say that this break is much needed for everyone at the high school. With the minimal days off, early outs, and small chance of delays or snow days, eleven days to spend with family sounds well deserved for everybody. Students are fried with break on their mind, teachers exhausted from end of the term planning, and the food services sore from the incredible holiday dinner. Oh yeah…break couldn’t come fast enough for us.
While the school is deserted, we will be rushing to do some last minute holiday shopping, traveling, sledding, spending time with family and friends, and relaxing. But, as nice as a complete break from everything would be, most of us wont get that due to projects, papers, and jobs. Even with those stresses there’s still no school, so who’s complaining?
As the minutes feel like hours and the excitement is pouring out of the students here at the high school. Nothing but break is on our mind. The second the bell rings, everyone is sprinting outside, ready to start their vacation, and come back to school in 2011 after a family and friend filled break.
