Gehman is gamin’

By: Haley Berry, Quill Co Editor-in-Cheif

Every spring people get excited for the warm weather to start again, also the joy of bringing shorts, flip flops, and cutoffs back. There is also the excitement of spring sports startin’ up again like track, soccer, and golf, for Kaleb Gehman though, his favorite thing about spring is tennis. “I like having fun with my friends.”

Kaleb has been playing tennis since his freshman year. “This year would be my third,” Kaleb smiles, “[I plan on going out next year] to have a lot of fun and to see my friends again.”

Most of the time when people love something, there is gotta be something that’s bad, and to  Kaleb it’s “Gettin’ noched” (hit by a ball). Which obviously must hurt! Then there is also practice when your running drills, and practice games with fellow teammates. When there is bad though, there is good. “[The best part about tennis is knowing a did my best.” Kaleb said with pride.

Spring brings a lot of different things, for different people. Like I said previously, for Kaleb, it’s his favorite sport, tennis. If you’re looking to try something new and have fun, he says to give it a try. “We really need more people, it doesn’t matter if you’re good or not.” He laughs, “It will be a lot of fun, and we might even win a few matches.”
