“@AnnaKendrick47: if that’s not White and Gold, the universe is falling apart. Seriously what is happening????” The dress that took the nation by storm. Originally posted by a singer who lives on a small island in Scotland, Caitlin McNeill has officially broken the internet. If someone has not yet encountered “The Dress”, they can click here to see what everyone is talking about. Be prepared to get into a few arguments with every single human ever, because no one will shut up about this dress.
“@Michael5SOS: Dress is black and blue, just sayin.” Since the posting of the picture a few days ago, it has gained over 500,000 reblogs on Tumblr and lots of attention from various other news sources. Places varying from Cosmo to Business Insider have done stories on the allegedly color changing dress, so why is it so popular? Although the dress is in fact blue and black, as shown in a picture of the mother wearing the dress here, a lot of people seem to think that the dress is white and gold. Everyone’s brain seems to be unable to handle the differences in color, and then there are those poor chaps that the color changes on them. Also, there are a few people unlucky people who see blue and gold, or black and white. A few people see a weird mix of colors, like violet and brown. Why does this happen to us?
“@billyeichner: The colors are, you’re all idiots.” The fact of the matter is, everyone sees colors differently. Whether the dress is blue and black, or white and gold, or fuchsia and cerulean, it doesn’t matter. In the end, it’s a hideous dress, and the colors aren’t going to fix its poor design. Everyone should just stop talking about it, because nobody’s brain is going to see it the same way.
