As the 2014-2015 year closes out the seniors are looking forward to the next step in their lives, but the juniors are stepping into one of the biggest years with a lot of decisions ahead of them. The year they are on now consists of finding out what classes they are going to take for their senior year, going to job shadows, and maybe doing internships to get ready for senior year. This is a big step for everyone in their upcoming future, this can also scare a lot of kids for their future.
This is our first of our lasts as a class together, putting together a schedule for the upcoming year. Students attend a meeting with the counselors to talk about what classes should be taken. Some students take this very seriously while others slack off, which could really hurt them in the future. The counselors are taking time out of their day to help with our future and some don’t even care. What they are talking about and trying to get students to do is very helpful to them. Yes, it is very frightening to be doing this, but put some effort in and it will all work out.
Being one of the kids who is creating the schedule for the upcoming year, it’s very exciting, but also very nerve wrecking. Classes are getting harder as the years go on, so thinking about college classes stresses people out. The thing is, stressing will not help this situation at all, just have confidence in what happens. Have fun on this journey it only happens once, and it is a big step into the future. This is just one step out of the millions that people will take in their lives and yes, it is scary but enjoy the ride!
The year is wrapping up quickly and people need to be ready for the changes that are going happen. Do not fear the future, embrace the challenge, and get ready for the next couple years. Be smart with the class choices that you are taking next year, and make sure it helps with the future!
