Almost every girl has someone that they can call their best friend, someone who they can tell everything too; someone who will always be there for them. Having a best friend is okay and all, until one of the best friends decides to break the Girl Code. The Girl Code is a clear unwritten set of rules that girls are expected to follow. Every girl knows what these rules are, yet girls always seem to break them.

For example, it is never okay under any circumstance to ever text the bestfriend’s boyfriend; it doesn’t matter what the conversation is about. Even if the conversation is just about the homework that was passed out during class, it’s still not okay. There’s approximately twenty-three other people in the class who probably actually payed attention to the teacher and wrote down the homework, ask them. Don’t go straight for the BFF’s BF for the answer.

Second of all, don’t act like a little harlot. If a girl were to ever make out with her bestfriend’s other half, chances are she is not a good friend. Why would she ever be in situation where she is alone with said boyfriend? Why would this thought even cross her mind in the first place? It doesn’t matter where the two are or what’s going on; it’s not okay point blank. Period.

When the best friend and the boyfriend break up, leave him alone. Just because they have broken up doesn’t mean that he is now on the market for anyone. Girls should have some respect for their best friend and leave him alone. Newsflash, he’s not going to want to date his ex’s best friend unless he’s trying to make his ex jealous, just plain using the girl. Why would said girl even want to date her best friend’s ex boyfriend? She’s gotta have some sort of a conscience that tells her right from wrong, and that is definitely wrong.

C’mon girls, stop breaking these rules. Breaking a Girl Code rule is illegal in the girl world, and everyone’s going to find out when you break them so just dont. Leave your best friend’s boyfriend alone, it’s not okay to mess with him when he’s dating your best friend. The sooner some of the girls in the female population can figure this out, the sooner girl world can be peaceful again.
