As the buzzer went off in the third quarter of his last game a smile was brought to his face. The excitement of playing his last quarter in his freshmen year of basketball ran through his head.
Ben Buckley, freshmen, is enjoying his first year at MHS and his first year of basketball. The team finished with 14 wins and only three losses. “I think we showed promise for next year.”
It was a good season, but Ben was sad to see it end. “It’s the last sport I’m doing all year, so I’m going to be bored.” Ben is involved in football and basketball.
During the first half of the season the team lost two games. After Christmas Break, they only lost one game. Ben thinks that the team had improved throughout the season.
Ben says his favorite part of the season was being able to hang out with friends and winning a lot. The team is very excited for next year.
He sprinted up the court to get open for a pass. Five seconds left in the fourth quarter. The team ran the play and they scored another basketball and won their last game.
