This is it. The last night for the three senior volleyball players to play with their team in the gym. She dresses varsity and cheers on her team on the sidelines but she gets to play of the JV volleyball team.
Haillie Vanderlinden, senior, is sad that this is going to be her last game at home. “I’m sad, it’s upsetting” said Haillie, “this is the last game I will ever play in the gym.” Even though Haillie doesn’t get a lot of playing minutes on varsity she stills feels like she is like any other team member. “They include me in everything,” stated Haillie. Haillie is glad that she is a part of a team that includes her in everything even though she doesn’t get a lot of playing time.
Not only does Haillie think that she is a good team member but she also feels that she is a great asset to the team. “I help make them stronger by cheering for them on the side lines,” said Haillie. She supports her team a lot and is still a great team member even though she doesn’t have a lot of varsity playing time.
Haillie is a valuable senior who is part of the volleyball team even though she just cheers on the sideline during varsity. This is the last night that Haillie and the rest of the senior volleyball players get to play in the gym.
