One day in May is has come and gone and some students were excited to start helping the community. Today was the day that the entire student body and faculty of MHS volunteered for the community and spent their time helping improve Marion. While some students were looking forward to it, others weren’t and didn’t want to attend. Students have been talking about skipping school today simply so they didn’t have to go. Even though today might have been hard work for students, it was well worth it and every student should have participated. Volunteer work makes people feel good and helps others. The students represent Marion High School in an extremely good light on One Day in May. Students can have fun and help the community at the same time. As much as some students don’t see the good in it, they can make it fun by simply having a good attitude about it.
