It’s the first day of second term and senioritis has already set in. For some, it set in months, even years ago. Today is basically official senioritis day. For those who don’t know, senioritis is when a senior just wants to get out of school and get on with life. They stop doing homework and generally stop trying in class.
The monotony of high school has been wearing on seniors for the last four years. Attending the same class every day gets really boring. A telltale symptom of senioritis is giving up on classes. This causes grades to drop, which kills GPAs. Keeping up with school no matter how bad the senioritis gets is vital. Getting into college is important after school, and a low GPA can destroy chances of getting into college.
Another symptom of senioritis is dressing in sweats and t-shirts every day. School gets so boring and unimportant that dressing in jeans is no longer an option. The laziness of senioritis sets in quickly, so if these signs start to appear, change something quick!
As senior year drags on, it’s important to stay strong and keep those grades up. The high school years are the most important and can determine what one’s life will end up as after school.
