This week, not even five days after the students of Marion High School got back from spring break, they are getting a three-day weekend. This can almost be seen as unnecessary since we just got back from an eleven day break, but it is for a good reason: Good Friday.
This is the third Friday in a row that we haven’t had school, and more than likely everyone is grateful for it. This is going to be a perfect way to gently ease back into the new quarter. Some students will be using the day off to celebrate Good Friday which is the whole reason we have the day off, and others will probably be sleeping in and going shopping.
Holy Week has done all of us at Marion High School a big favor, and even if you aren’t religious you should appreciate not having to go to school on this holiday.
