She puts on her practice clothes and prepares for another bowling practice. She makes the drive to the Cedar Rapids bowling alley. She enters the bowling alley, slips on her shoes and ties them. She finally picks up the ball; she throws the ball down the lane and hopes for a strike.
Jessica Bartz, a sophomore, participates in Marion Bowling. She enjoys bowling because she gets to, “be with my friends and it’s pretty laid back,” Jessica commented. Jessica says that she’s not that good but it’s okay because she gets to be with her friends. She loves practices because they’re fun and she loves being around her friends as much as she can be.
The next meet is on Friday. “I hope we win!” Jessica exclaimed. She thinks and she hopes that one of the best bowlers on the team, Taylor Lamm or one of the many others, will pull through for their win so that the team can do well. She is hopeful that everyone will do their best and no matter what, everyone, including herself, will be proud at the end of the day.
Jessica thinks about the way she has to bowl and the way she has to perform to win the bowling meet. Not only her, but also the whole entire team. She has seen everyone in practice working their hardest and she’s extremely hopeful that everything will go great. She hopes that they will win but she knows either way, win or lose; she will be having fun with her friends doing what she loves.
