The temperature in the school is ridiculous. It could be freezing in one room to being a sauna in another, which makes it impossible for students to know what to wear. Should they wear a winter parka or a short sleeve t- shirt? The temperature at Marion really needs to be regulated better.
The students at Marion High School wake up in the morning asking themselves what to wear, but the question they really are asking themselves is how cold will my classroom be today? The classrooms are all different temperatures that it makes it hard to figure out what to wear. They could be sitting in one class freezing in their sweatshirt than go to their next class sweating in a t-shirt. The easy answer is to dress in layers, but who wants to dress in layers that they can shed from class to class? No one because that would just be a pain.
The hallways are a different story. It’s like walking through the Antarctic. Especially the English hallway because when those side doors open its like a blast of cold air that freezes your entire body. It’s like the students have to bring a winter jacket just to walk from class to class, which no one wants to do because where would someone put it during class? The hallways and classrooms really need to have more tolerable temperatures.
Hallways and classrooms at Marion are getting to the point that temperatures through the school are so unexpected. Students don’t know if the are entering Alaska or Florida anymore when entering a classroom or turning the corner. The temperatures in the school really need to be moderated better, so students know what to wear and what to expect in classrooms and hallways.
