He wakes up hoping that today will be the day, even though deep down he knows it won’t be. He looks out the window and he’s let down once again, there is no snow on the ground. A lot of people don’t want it to snow, but not him. Snow is the one thing he’s been looking forward to all year long.Brandon Klein, sophomore, has spent the last few months excited for the winter weather. “I love snow. I have a hobby, snow mobiling, and you can’t do that without the snow,” he laughed.
The cold doesn’t faze him, winter is his favorite time of year. “Winter is great because I get to see my family and I get new presents that warm my heart,” he joked. Even though he’s very fond of receiving presents, he gets them for the ones he loves.
Another problem about being without snow is that there isn’t a possibilty of snow days. “When we have snow days I spend my time snow mobiling with my dad and friends. I also enjoy a nice cup of Joe,” he smiled. Not having snow makes him very sad which he added isn’t unusual (a lot of people have seasonal depression) because he has nothing to do and he can’t go sledding or snow mobiling.
He brushes his teeth and changes his clothes. He tells himself that even though no snow fell today to not lose faith. He turns the lights out and crawls under the covers and thinks of the snow angels he plans to make tomorrow.
